Where: Downtown Wichita
Musical entertainment, family fun, contests, food and experiences of all kinds come to Wichita, KS for the annual 9-day extravaganza!

■ The Greatest Showman Singalong | June 8
Where: Exploration Place
Embark on an unforgettable cinematic adventure with the timeless songs that have captured hearts across the globe. Feel the thrill as you sing every word, dance along with the film’s choreography and embrace the excitement of The Greatest Showman alongside fellow enthusiasts. Kemper Theater will be used to its full potential, with several surprises in store for during the film. Join us as we sing, dance, are awed with a live performance from a local idol and immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds being played out on screen. This really is the greatest show! Live Performance by McKayla Stacey: From Andover to Hollywood, and everywhere in between, McKayla Stacey is a star. Many will recognize McKayla from her audition on American Idol season 21, which earned her a golden ticket, but this local music sensation has been belting it out on stage in Wichita for years.

1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.

Lavender Festival and Craft Show | June 10
Where: Gerty’s Lavender Farm
This is our 7th year! Come out to the country for a fun day on the farm. Listen to the band, grab a snack, and support the hard working vendors. Watch our farm page for updates. Admission will be $5.00 for adult over 12. Children free. Tickets at the entrance only. We have handicapped parking but wheelchairs are not recommended.

Art Together: CollabARTive Art | June 10
Where: MarkArts
Art Together, Mark Arts’ community outreach program, provides opportunities for families to create and appreciate art. Monthly programs are developed to highlight unique perspectives, themes and stories that exist within our community. Each Art Together program includes children’s story time, an individual hands-on art project, a community art project and performance or demonstration.

Meet the Author. Book Signing by Jill D. Miller | June 10
Where: The Sewing Center
Jill Miller, the Headmistress of the Finishing School for Modern Women and the founder of the Badass Women of Wichita Alliance will be at the Sewing Center in Indian Hills Shopping Center to sign copies of her first book, “Never Finished: Practical advice for Modern Women to inspire your fierce, authentic self.” Books will be available for sale for $19.95 plus tax. It is filled with witty and poignant stories of those who have influenced her and those she has helped through personal and business changes. She outlines insightful advice for moving forward — “It’s not because we need finishing, — it’s because we’re never finished.

Punk Rock Brunch | June 11

 Newman University – DeMattias Fine ARts Center
Regina Klenjoski Dance Company (Wichita) and Tristian Griffin Dance Company (Lawrence, Kansas City) unite their dance companies to produce an exciting evening of concert dance featuring five Kansas world premieres choreographed by nationally celebrated creators making thoughtful work rooted in identity, race, gender, and social justice. In addition to Ms. Klenjoski and Mr. Griffin, the project commissions three nationally recognized artists: Choreographer Gary Abbott is Co-Founder and Associate Artistic Director of Chicago’s Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), and is a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow. Choreographer Chad Michael Hall is Artistic Director of MULTIPLEX DANCE and professor at the University of California Irvine. Choreographer Sabrina Vasquez is a Professor at Wichita State University and Associate Artistic Director of Alithea Mime Theatre.
