A burger concept founded in Fargo, North Dakota, I’m told, will be taking over the former Logan’s Steakhouse at 2424 N Maize Road. Renovations for the space appears to be underway for Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews.
I haven’t been able to confirm the news with anybody at Sickies Garage Burgers yet, but a few sources have tipped me off on what looks to be true.
The garage-themed burger concept, with an automotive-inspired decor of classic cars and trucks, features over 50 burgers, nearly 50 beers and about 25 different chicken wing flavors. Massive doesn’t even do the menu justice when it comes to burgers.
Over the years, Sickies has become known for their experimental, over-the-top burgers. Some of the most popular include the Twin Cam, a burger topped with peppered bacon and nacho cheese, all placed between two grilled cheese sandwiches. There’s a Glazed Doughnut Burger, which has American cheese and peppered bacon on a glazed doughnut bun. There are Kobe burgers, patty melts, 7 varieties of mac & cheese including Philly mac & cheese with pot roast and a Buffalo chicken option. Diners can also choose between a regular, pretzel, brioche or gluten-free bun along with different patty choices consisting of either chicken, American, veggie, and wagyu beef.
Chicken sandwiches, adult shakes, fish and shrimp baskets, and salads round out the menu.
While most locations are located in the Dakotas and Nebraska, Sickies Garage Burgers & Brew recently expanded to Texas and has plans for an Overland Park location as well.
As I mentioned earlier, nothing has been officially confirmed, but all signs point to a west side location on Maize Road coming later this year.
