Wichita’s newest restaurant will open on Monday, August 14 with the arrival of Sticky Birds.
When I say arrival, I mean it literally, as the restaurant was delivered to Wichita and lowered in via a crane at the former Walt’s Klassics space at 616 S. Tyler. The modular, pre-built structure was delivered a couple of months ago and crews then worked on finishing the interior and completing the landscaping.
Sticky Birds is a Farmington, Utah-based restaurant chain that specializes in fried and grilled chicken fingers, chicken wings, salads, and sandwiches. Each chicken option comes with Sticky Birds’ signature line of sauces and rubs. Something the west side hasn’t seen since the closing of PokeMix is dole whip. (It’s still available on the east side at Crafted) The popular soft serve that originated in Disneyland.
So, mark your calendars for August 14 and stay tuned for our first look at the new chicken restaurant opening next week.
