Watch cats and kittens compete for Best in Show IN EACH of the 7 separate JUDGING RINGS on both Saturday and Sunday (each are its own show)! Free cat coloring books for the first 200 children, daily! Cat costume contest around lunchtime Saturday and Sunday! See fancy cats dress up! The contest is for cats that are entered in the show. Join us for the 2024 Miss Wichita Competition, the local preliminary to Miss Kansas, for an afternoon of poise, intelligence, beauty, and grace. Women will compete for the honor of representing the City of Wichita and Sedgwick County at the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition. Women will compete in the following categories on stage: on-stage conversation, fitness, talent, and evening wear, and will have a private off-stage interview. Women are competing for more than a job, but scholarship dollars and the platform to advocate for a social cause are near to their hearts.

■ 3rd Annual Suspenders4Hope 5K Run & Memorial 1 Mile Walk | September 10
Where: Steve Clark YMCA
Join us for the 3rd Annual Suspenders4Hope 5k and 1 Mile walk to benefit StopSuicideICT, presented by Ascension Via Christi and the Steve Clark YMCA. Registration and check-in begin at 8:30 am with the 5k starting at 9 am. The race is an official, certified course on the beautiful Wichita State University Campus and will begin in the Steve Clark YMCA parking lot. Following the race, several speakers and awards will be given. The event will conclude with a 1 Mile Memorial Walk in honor of those who lost their lives to suicide. All registrants for the run and walk will receive a race t-shirt.
