In case you haven’t decided what to do on what is expected to be one of the most entertaining weekends in and around Wichita, here’s an event to consider.
Burgers & Beer, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This is a free event to attend that just might be the most affordable thing going on this weekend. Taking place at the Genesis Sports Complex in Goddard, KS, attendees will be treated to free burgers and beer. Not just that, but there will be live music and free games and a bounce house for kids.
It’s an all-ages family-friendly event that will end with a free fireworks show.
And to top it all off, you’ll want to bring your lawn chairs and blankets, as event organizers will try to break the world record for launching the largest number of Saturn Missiles in one sitting. What is that number? I have no idea, but I’m sure it’s more than the 300 I did when I was a kid. It’ll be a sight to see and could make for some wonderful social media content for aspiring TikTok and YouTube creators. Or just something cool to see in general!
