One place I’ve been meaning to revisit is Tor Brewing, the brewery located at 222 S. Commerce, which is next to INTRUST Bank Arena. I’ve been hearing so many good things about the brewery, especially since they’ve added a food menu.
People have been raving about the smash burgers, so I stopped by as soon as I could to give it a try.

The food menu, which also includes random specials throughout the week, featured three different smash burgers and a couple of sandwiches. All meals were served with a side of chips, but diners could add fries for a dollar.
I went with the classic original smash burger and traded in the chips for fries. They asked if I wanted regular or Cajun fries, and the answer is always Cajun.
It did not take long for my meal to arrive. I started with the fries and they were excellent; they offered a picture-perfect crispy exterior. The fries were lightly coated, so the Cajun seasoning didn’t overwhelm your taste buds, nor was it so light that you needed more of it. They were as perfectly executed of fries as anyone could do.
Next up was the smash burger, something I couldn’t get enough of. Here’s the thing, I’m not really a smash burger kind of guy. It’s not something I necessarily crave or seek. But Tor Brewing really knocked it out of the park with this one. I truly loved it. This thing was still juicy, meaty and hit my taste buds from all angles. Between the caramelized onions, pickles, cheese and homemade burger sauce, this thing was like a can of Pringles. I literally couldn’t stop. Props have to be given to the bun as well, as it was soft and complimented everything in this meal.
My only regret was waiting so long to get my butt over to Tor Brewing to check out the smash burgers.
