Earlier this year, Lito’s took over the former Angry Elephant space at 756 N. Tyler Road. The restaurant, which was opened by a family member of the owner of Angry Elephant, featured many burgers and sandwiches that were found at the former BBQ restaurant. It made sense, as not only was he a family member, but also the general manager of the west side location.
Lito’s also had a Vegan menu and worked by the slogan, “A lito bit of everything for everybody”.
It now appears the restaurant has run into a “lito bit of a problem”.
Readers have chimed in saying, they haven’t seen the restaurant open in weeks. The social media channels, which used to be active, have gone silent; phones do not appear to be working either.
The last straw was a quick stop by Lito’s where a gas disconnection from Black Hills Energy was on the door from September 28.
Something of note, no formal closing announcement was ever made for Angry Elephant. And it might appear, that might be the case for Lito’s
If we hear of anything different, we’ll be sure to update the story.
