In case you missed it, California Tortilla’s run in Wichita is over. The restaurant at 2244 N. Greenwich has since closed but something new will be taking over.
Justin Neel, owner of Social Tap Drinkery, has confirmed he has worked out a deal to take over the California Tortilla space at the corner of 21st and Greenwich Road.
The new restaurant will be a second Social Tap Drinkery who will possibly have a new menu that will be shared at a later time.
It was a tough start for California Tortilla, who arrived just months before the pandemic in 2020, then closed for a long period of time, changed owners and couldn’t manage to build upon the momentum from when they first opened.
With the closing, it should bring something new to add more life to the area.
Neel shared, “We are excited about the energy in that area and excited to expand our brand to east Wichita.”
