The Great Plains Nature Center to host Art on the Trail

The Great Plains Nature Center welcomes the community to Art on the Trail from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 14 at 6232 E. 29th St. North in Wichita.

Stroll through nature trails at the Great Plains Nature Center, purchase a glass of wine from Grace Hill Wineries, and watch as more than 30 Wichita artists let their creativity flow through the medium of their choice. Each artist will create original art in real time throughout the half mile trail. This interactive, outdoor event is designed to appreciate and re-create the beauty of the enchanting Kansas scenery. Meet, greet, and enjoy! Appreciate nature, art, and community during the golden hour sun.

“We’re excited to showcase more than 30 local creatives using various art mediums,” says Darah Jewell, Event Coordinator of the GPNC. “We’ve designed this event to be a free and relaxing evening to kick off a gorgeous new season in Chisholm Creek Park.”
