By now, you’re probably familiar with The Coop in Derby, KS. It’s a coffee shop and co-op bakery that has garnered a lot of success and enabled many small businesses to get a bigger footprint with shelf space for buyers.
Well, it’s time to welcome The Coop in Wichita as they have taken over the former Common Grounds space at 2812 E. Douglas. This will will operate differently from the Derby counterpart, as the new space has much more room. The biggest addition is the board game library.

Open Daily: 8am – 8pm
The video below will give you a better look inside, but the board game library is a great way to make use of the many rooms inside The Coop’s new space.
Patrons can stop by The COOP and purchase a day, month, or annual game pass to gain access to the growing game library and unlimited game play for the designated time frame for up to 4 players. Day passes are $12, monthly game membership is $36 and an annual membership is $360.
Here’s the current game library at The Coop.
Along with the game library, there’s of course, the co-op bakery where you can find a variety of home bakers and vendors selling their products.
And if you enjoy the drinks and treats from The Coop in Derby, you’ll find much of the same in Wichita.
My visit ended with a strawberry acia refresher and a breakfast burrito; you can’t go wrong with either.
