Burdette’s Bierocks is a new bierock business launching Wednesday night

Burdette’s Bierocks

Make way for Wichita’s newest food truck, Burdette’s Bierocks, who will celebrate their first day, Wednesday evening at Lucky’s Everyday, a bar at 1217 E. Douglas. They are taking over the food truck that was Dappery Dodo Breakfast Burritos.

The food truck is the creation of Chef Bill Crites who is also the chef de cuisine at WSU Tech’s culinary school.

Burdette’s Bierocks will operate in the food truck that will stay at Lucky’s Everyday. On Wednesday, November 22, they will launch operations at 6 p.m. until midnight. After that, hours will be Thursday through Friday from 6 p.m. to midnight. Patrons will also be able to order bierocks for delivery from DoorDash 7 days a week.

You can expect some zany bierock creations.

For example, there’s a special “Plymouth bierock” for Thanksgiving with braised turkey, cheddar garlic mashed potatoes, and gravy in a stuffing flavored bierock bun. The original Burdette includes braised beef, your mama Mia ‘rock filled with bolognese (ground pork and beef, Italian sausage, and braised brisket) in a garlic bierock bun topped with Parmesan cheese.

Bread lovers should know, that the owners of John’s Pita Bakery are also involved in this business, so you can expect some top quality dough.

Stay tuned for our first look, until then, you can check out Burdette’s Bierocks this week or follow them on Facebook for more.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
