Just A Sip will open east side location with free drinks this week

Just a Sip East

It’s a new location for Just A Sip, who opened their first location at 13th and Tyler in October.

The dirty soda shop, or as they are referred to here sassy soda shop, will open Thursday, Nov. 16 at 2126 N. Webb Road in the former Baskin-Robbins space at Cambridge Market.

To celebrate the grand opening, Just A Sip will be offering free drinks to customers on Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Each person must be present to claim their drink, i.e., you can’t come in and order 10 drinks if only three people are in your car.

If you’re unfamiliar with “dirty soda”, it’s a big drink trend that has been growing throughout the country. It’s a drink consisting of soda “spiked” with cream and flavored syrups or fruit juices.

At Just A Sip, they are called “sassy sodas” and such drinks include Caramel Kiss which is Dr. Pepper, Salted Caramel and Italian Cream. During my visit, I had the Papa Pepper which was Dr. Pepper, cherry and Italian cream along with the Mango Tango which was club soda, mango purée, pineapple, and strawberry.

Just A Sip also offers lotus infusion drinks and plenty of sugar-free options.

There’s also a limited selection of snacks that include sugar cookies and pretzel bites. Ice fans will also be thrilled they use the smaller nugget sized ice that can be purchased in 5-pound bags.

Tumblers will also be sold which gives people 50-cents off their drink price, except for Tuesdays when it’s $2 off tumbler refills.

Here’s their menu.

And a video recap of the original location, which is now open at 8520 W. 13th St.
