Bronx Pizza & Pints Revisited

Bronx Pizza & Pints

A lot has changed since the last time I visited Bronx Pizza + Pints, the pizzeria at 2140 W. 21st. The restaurant is now under new management and a full-blown menu has been added since my last visit. Given the changes, I knew I had to return.

For this visit, I opted to do a carryout and used their website to place my order. I am not sure who created Bronx Pizza + Pints’ website, but you’ll also see a badass picture taken from yours truly as their main header photo.

My order consisted of:

  • A 20” The Empire: A supreme pizza with red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and black olives. (We asked for no black olives)
  • A 20” The Little Italy: Pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatballs, and bacon

Then we went with a bunch of desserts: tiramisu, Zappole bites and a traditional cannoli.

I asked for a specific pickup time and my order was ready right at that moment. Shout out to Paul, who was managing the place and taking excellent care of everyone there.

Soon, I arrived home from Bronx Pizza + Pints with all of this for my family and extended family for a night of board gaming.

Everybody loved the pizza and kept asking where it was from. I may have to purchase a little sign at home moving forward, displaying where carryout food is from and where to find the place.

Opinions were split on which pizza was liked more between The Empire and The Little Italy. It really depended on if you typically enjoy meat lovers or supreme-style pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed The Empire, and loved how it easy it was to pick up, fold and eat away. The crust had a firm, yet thin texture. There was no shortage of toppings, and literally zero complaints from everyone. And let me add, a 20” pizza is huge. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Probably the only discrepancy about Bronx Pizza + Pints mentioned was the Zappole bites, which were bite-sized pieces of fried dough, felt a bit undercooked and very doughy. Aside from that, the other desserts were a hit….mainly for me because I was the only person who had the cannoli and tiramisu.

Like the first time, my family were fans of Bronx Pizza + Pints, plus other members who were first timers. Ordering online was easy, pickup was even easier, and it put the cherry on top for our family gathering.
