Last year, Third Place Brewing sold to new owners and the brewery at 630 E. Douglas transitioned to The Leprechaun’s Lab. I hadn’t stopped by before, but some other owners around town informed me, the owner was an award-winning brewer, and it was definitely worth checking out.

I stopped by The Leprechaun’s Lab with some friends, recently. Not much was done to the interior, but that was the least of our worries.

I ordered a flight of beers: an Irish Red Ale, an Italian Pilsner, a Mint Chocolate Stout and a Fruited Sour.

For starters, I’m not a big beer connoisseur. So, taking my word on reviewing beers is something to take with a grain of salt. Technically, anything on say on anything should be taken with a grain of salt.

Anyway, for what it’s worth, I thoroughly enjoyed the beers. Everything went down smooth, even the stout, which I’m usually not a big fan of. While I typically stick with spirits, The Leprechaun’s Lab beers were ones I could easily see myself going back for.

One of the things I loved about Third Place Brewing was the ambience and vibe. It was just very chill. So, it was nice to have that same experience at The Leprechaun’s Lab.
