Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen Revisited

Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen

It was our bi-weekly board game night, which meant carryout from a restaurant in town. That brought us back to Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen. We’ve been doing pizza and Italian for previous game and dinner nights and decided to do something different with quick-service Japanese food.

The menu as Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen consists of garlic fried rice, yakisoba noodles and udon noodles along with an assortment of popular appetizers like egg rolls, crab rangoon and gyoza.

I had a good-sized group to feed, so I wanted a spread of different dishes. My order consisted of garlic fried rice, udon noodles with shrimp, and yakisoba with steak. That wasn’t going to be enough.

I ordered the tiger nachos, which were fresh wonton chips, tiger cheese blend, tiger soy sauce, yum yum sauce, cilantro, pickled jalapeños and my choice of protein, which was chicken.

Still not enough. So, I added some egg rolls and gyoza to my order. Here was the spread.

Here’s the thing about Japanese Tiger Rice Kitchen, the portion sizes are bigger than they appear. It may not look like much, but those heavy starchy meals can go a long ways and feed a ton of people. We had plenty of leftovers.

Everyone had their own favorite dishes. For instance, one person loved the tiger nachos. It’s obviously Tiger Rice’s take on nachos with a yum yum sauce and wonton chips. It was excellent, and a nice break from the cheesy nachos. The yum yum sauce offered a delicious balance of savory and sweet in each bite.

The rest of the meals we’ve covered plenty of times. We know exactly what we are getting from Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen on every visit. Its big portion sizes that comes out fresh and the containers are filled to the top.

If you love udon noodles, you have to get some from Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen.

Plus, it all travels quite well for long distances if you’re grabbing it to go.

My order for Tiger Rice Japanese Kitchen was placed online and was fairly prompt when I came by to pick it up.  Then, when I arrived home, my family was fed and happy. What else could I ask for?
