City to Hold Next Set of Public Housing Open Houses

The City has announced its next round of open houses as it continues to market and sell public housing units. The City has received approval to sell an additional 51 scattered site units in addition to the 37 previously marketed as available for sale. Due to the large number of homes now available, staff will conduct open houses in groupings by neighborhood.

Open houses have been scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 14 for 22 homes in the Ken-Mar, Fairmount, A. Price Woodard and Murdock neighborhoods in central Wichita, as well as a selection of homes in south and west Wichita.
The April 14 event will feature the following single-family homes:

Additional Public Housing inventory available for sale is listed on the City’s website at, and detailed information on each of this weekend’s listings will be added throughout the week leading up to the open houses. Inventory may be added or reduced for each open house event as additional units are available for marketing or as particular units go under contract. Offers will be reviewed on a regular basis between open houses.
