Sneak peek inside Sickies Garage

The grand opening for Sickies Garage is days away, but before that day comes on Monday, April 15, we popped into the newest restaurant opening in Wichita.

Founded in Fargo, North Dakota, the latest burger concept to arrive in town has taken over the former Logan’s Steakhouse at 2424 N Maize Road. Let’s take a look inside.

Full transparency, I was invited to a friends and family event where the food was complimentary. Tips were accepted and alcoholic drinks required. So, we made sure to tip and order a couple of drinks. But due to the complimentary event, it also felt right to avoid reviewing the food and instead give you an idea of what you can expect to see inside Sickie’s Garage. Then save a full-fledged review for after they open for paying customers.

Sickies Garage is quite spacious inside. It’s basically two huge sections, an area to the left that is mostly bar and table-top seating. And then another section filled with bench seating and low top tables.

Sickies Garage

Sickies Garage features 34 televisions and nearly 50 beers.

From a visual standpoint, the restaurant it’s very bright and colorful inside. With the word garage in the name, of course, cars had to be on display. The rusted pickup trucks can be found handing upside down from the ceiling. It’s a major eye-catcher for anybody going inside.

The Sickies Garage menu boasts over 50 burgers and sandwiches. There’s also chicken wings with 25 different flavors. Burgers range anywhere between $9.99 to $19.99. A variety of the classic burgers can be had for around $11.99 to $13.99 and that comes with a side.

Here’s a sampling of what was had at our table:

Cheese Curds in buffalo sauce
Sickies burger with tater tots
Monte Cristo with veggies
The Southwest
The Chopper
Chicken in a Coupe

Otherwise, be on the lookout for Sickies Garage to open Monday, April 15 at 11 a.m. Be sure to follow them on Facebook.

We will be back later down the road for a full review.
