The Mediterranean Festival is back at St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church

It’s back!

For over 90 years, St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church has celebrated its Mediterranean heritage through public dinners and bake sales. This has been an important and continuous part of their parish life and outreach since its founding in 1932, and each May they continue that tradition with their annual Mediterranean Festival. Paying homage to the festival’s roots, the 2024 menu celebrates how it all started – with a home cooked Lebanese meal! Below are all the detail about the event:

Event Details:
Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Located at St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 344 S. Martinson which is two blocks west of Seneca on Maple.

The meals are available for drive thru purchase, dine in or carryout.

A traditional place at the Mediterranean Festival costs $20 and includes:
– Green Beans & Rice
– 2 Cabbage Rolls
– Kibbee
– Greek Salad
– Fresh Baked Talame Bread
– 1 Piece of Baklawa

If you decide to do dine in or carryout, don’t forget to stop by the Mediterranean Marketplace for some extra goodies to take home. There you can shop for unique pastries, breads, desserts and other items from around the world, along with classic American favorites. Many of these items are one-of-a-kind and can’t be found anywhere else in Wichita.

The bookstore has a unique selection of books, art, jewelry, music, and other items. The church will also be open for tours. At 5:00 p.m., guests are welcome to attend an evening prayer service called Vespers.

And with a little did you know…

Did you know that every year the festival partners with a local charity to help raise funds and awareness for their cause. This year, they are supporting The DUI Victim’s Center of Kansas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting victims of impaired driving crashes in Kansas and advocating against future DUI tragedies.
