Alzavino Wine Tavern to close in early July

The owners of Alzavino Wine Tavern are ready to cross the finish line.

In a Facebook post shared on Monday afternoon, the owners of the Delano wine spot at 1001 W. Douglas Avenue announced the business will be closing at the beginning of July.

The last day for business is set for July 6.

Unless a new buyer is found to take over Alzavino, it’ll be the end of the road for one of the more unique destinations in town. Opened in 2021, Alzavino Wine Tavern had self-serve stations that allowed customers to select and pour wines themselves.

It was something totally new and different for Wichita.

No reason was given for the closure, but fans will have plenty of time to go show them love and support leading up to the July 6 date.
