An all you can eat restaurant will take over the west side Jose Pepper’s space

The Jose Pepper’s space at 2243 N. Tyler Road has sat empty for over a year and a half, but something new will be replacing the Mexican restaurant chain.

KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is confirmed for the Jose Pepper’s space. This will be the second location for the all-you-can-eat restaurant chain.

The first one is currently under construction at 7700 E. Kellogg Dr. inside Towne East Square where there will also be an external facing entrance. I’m told the plan is for the east side location to be open by September at the latest.

No timetable has been determined for the west side store but it could be this year as it’ll be more of a turnkey operation than the completely new build for the Towne East one.

The restaurant company describes itself as “a unique, hands-on, all-you-can-eat experience that merges traditional Asian hot pot with Korean BBQ flavors.”

KPot’s menu features barbecue, including spicy beef, spicy pork and spicy calamari; hot pots with cuts of pork, chicken, beef, pork belly and lamb; as well as sides that include shrimp dumplings, Spam, fish cakes, lobster balls, vegetables, and noodles.

A nearby location can be found in Overland Park which I did a review on last year.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
