Celebrate Lao New Year with food, drink, music and more

Hot off the heels of Wichita Asian Night Market, it’s time to get out again this weekend to celebrate Lao New Year.

It always takes place Memorial Day Weekend at the Lao Buddhist Associates of Wichita at 2550 S. Greenwich.

Those who have been before, know just how big of an event it is.

The three-day event takes runs from Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26. It’s one of the biggest cultural celebrations you’ll find in Wichita.

A $5 daily entry fee will get you access to the vendor booths featuring food, clothing, gifts, live music and dancing, a Miss Lao Pageant Contest, and so much more.

Here’s the daily schedule:
