One restaurant added to my rotation over the past year and a place I now frequent at least once a month is Doc Green’s Gourmet Salads & Grill.
Fortunately there’s a location near me out west, but the east side location is also a common place for me to have lunch meetings. I’ve made some dietary changes at the start of the year, and eating more greens has been part of that.

So what’s my go to at Doc Green’s? Here lately it’s the Dr. Caesar with steak. And I get the salad chopped, which can be requested at no additional charge, which is nice because I feel like so many restaurants these days just nickel and dime people for small services like this.
Then I pair that with one of their freshly pressed juices. I’ve become fascinated with beets lately; it’s been growing on me more and more, and for that reason, their beet juice is a staple for me.
What I love about Doc Green’s is that they aren’t stingy on portion sizes. It’s a lot of salad, and while those are relatively easy to make, they are always generous with the proteins. The dressing is blended in perfectly as well, ensuring that Caesar flavor in every bite.
This meal alone was plenty and had me stuffed by the end of lunch.

I’m contemplating going through all sixteen salads one day (or month) and ranking them all. We shall see.
For reference, there are three Doc Greens locations in Wichita:
Waterfront
10096 East 13th St. N #102
Wichita, KS 67206
College Hill
410 N Hillside #1000
Wichita, KS 67214
New Market Square
2441 N Maize Rd #1607
Wichita, KS 67205
Here’s the menu.

Happy Dining,
