Another restaurant in Wichita has quietly closed. It was reported last month that the Carnitas Morelia space at 3088 W. 13th St. was emptied with no warning.
Calls to the restaurant went unanswered but with news of a different restaurant preparing to take over, it does confirm the Mexican restaurant has closed.
Carnitas Morelia opened in April 2024 to rave reviews highlighting the restaurant’s signature tender, crispy pork. It even earned a spot on the ICT 100 list in 2024 and 2025.
Now the space at the strip center on 13th Street which has been home to a multitude of restaurants makes way for a different Mexican restaurant.
