Lights of Life Tree Lighting

We are excited to bring back Wichita’s tallest holiday tree- the Lights of Life! Starting in November, the Lights of Life tree brightly stands over 80-foot tall (the largest holiday tree in Wichita!) and illuminates downtown Wichita with over 3,200 festive lights. All of this is done to celebrate the holidays and in remembrance of family, friends and members of our community who have gone before us.

The official tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 6 pm. Attendees will enjoy holiday music, treats, a display of all names of the light bulbs “bought” in memory or honor of someone, and the exciting moment the tree is lit for the holiday season. The tree will remain lit until after the holidays.

The Lights of Life tree features light bulbs “bought” in memory or honor of loved ones, and is a celebration of life. It’s also highlights the important work we do at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Hospice care is about life and making every moment count. Support for the Lights of Life allows us to fulfill our mission- enabling people to live with dignity and hope while coping with loss and terminal illness.
