Gabby’s Peruvian Restaurant has finally made the move to 1002 S. Seneca allowing them to more than double their restaurant. Their new location inside the old Breakfast Club opened up last week and we stopped by to check out the new digs.
There’s two separate areas for dining, bathrooms and a much larger kitchen giving Gabby and her crew more room to work with. They really did a great job of cleaning out the location and brightening it up as the Breakfast Club started to look really gloomy in its ending days.
They also expanded their menu to include more appetizers and entrees. Beer will be coming soon when their liquor license arrives.
We also tried out a few of their dish which were of course delicious. Their tamales are certainly worth the $3.50 purchase price. Peruvian tamales are softer in texture and I believe were made with white corn. The panca sauce it’s served with gives it a nice spicy bite but without the kick.
For not being a fan of beans, I particularly really liked the stew. All the ingredients really complimented each other well and left me full and very satisfied.
I was very happy to see Gabby’s new move as it now allows even more diners a more opportune chance to try some unique food in Wichita. Seriously if you’ve never had a chance to get out here, it’s worth a shot.
They are located at 1002 S Seneca. Closed on Monday and Tuesday; Open Wednesday – Saturday 11am – 9pm and on Sundays from 11am – 6pm.
