FetchNeighbor, Wichita2Go, UberEats, and GrubHub have all been competing for your business to deliver food. Now there’s another player in the game coming to Wichita this month: DoorDash.
One of their marketing reps told me they are set to go live on Wednesday, August 15 but I have not heard anything since then.
If you check out their Wichita website, it appears they already have 314 restaurants signed up thru them. The list contains many national chains along with many local establishments like Le’s Noodles, Kanai, Dempsey’s Burger Pub, Twelve, Da Cajun Shak, Songbird Juice Co. and more.
DoorDash is currently in nearly every major U.S. city and is now starting to open up in some of the smaller markets.
Not sure exactly what the DoorDash delivery fees are. In reading some reviews on them, it appears it varies by region and restaurant and fees range from 99 cents to $7.99 an order. But it looks like they have recently rolled out a monthly subscription service that offers free delivery on all orders over $15 for $9.99 a month.
Once they go live, we will definitely be testing them out to see if they are any better than the competitors.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
