Word went out that the Tulsa staple, Coney Island Hot Dog Weiners, was planning on opening July 8 but another delay has once hit. They posted on Facebook over the weekend that there was a delivery issue with some equipment. So until that can arrive, get installed and the city inspection comes back clean, they will now be able to open.
So until all that is resolved, we will have to sit back and wait for a new opening date.
If you are unfamiliar with Coney Island Hot Dog Weiners, they are a simple concept that serves 5 1/2-inch hot dogs with cheese, onions, mustard and our made chili. They will also have craft beers, tamales, Frito chili pies along with something only in the Wichita locations, cinnamon rolls and chili. This will be the first dedicated hot dog restaurant in Wichita in a long time after such short-lived places like And the Wiener Is, Linkhaus, Let’s Be Frank and Dog House Carryout.
