Late last year, Bob & Luigi’s closed in Bel Aire, KS.
What some people didn’t know was there is another Bob & Luigi’s located in Andover, KS with an entirely different ownership. To be totally transparent, I didn’t have the best experiences out in Bel Aire in terms of service and speed. But knowing it was completely separate from Andover, I walked in to the other location with open arms (and belly…. shirt tucked in though) to give this version of Bob & Luigi’s a shot.

I knew immediately what I was going to order before stepping in the orders: lasagna. When it comes to Italian food, lasagna and manicotti are king and queen for me.
While there were some pros and cons to my meal, I enjoyed the lasagna. It was baked just a little too long giving the meat a slightly harder texture. But the sauce reigned supreme for meal. It had a subtle sweet bite to it that I thoroughly enjoyed. It wasn’t so heavy on the cheese either. I’ve had lasagna at some places and the cheese seemed like it was the star of the show. That wasn’t the case here. Everything was done proportionately and evenly balanced. The lasagna noodles were soft, tender and easy to cut through.
I also had a deluxe pizza I ordered for some of my cousins. Since I was out in Andover, I figured it’d be a cool little thing to surprise some family with and they loved every bite of it.
Every slice was topped with plenty of ingredients and a layer of cheese lying over it. My cousins said their kids scarfed it down as quick as possible. Either they were starving for days or loved it, I think the latter was the reason.
The staff working that day was super pleasant. Unlike my original visit to the Bel Aire location, my lasagna came out in a timely manner.
We will be back soon.

I have eaten at both places before BelAire closed. Hands down Andover is the BEST! The pizza to me is like Knollas with Cheese on top. Excellent Pasta and Pizza, and the staff was awesome. Keep up the good work.
