Are you ready for a bit of nostalgia to return to Wichita? Sbarro representatives confirmed to me today that they will be back in the Wichita market this spring. The quick-service restaurant last seen at Towne East and Towne West Square is planning to open a total of 5 locations in the Wichita area and one additional store in Salina. At the moment, they are aiming for a March/April opening, which will be inside Kwik Shop stores at the following six locations:
- 514 S. Oliver Street
- 4811 S. Seneca St.
- 3750 N. Maize Rd.
- 135 and 21st St
- 4802 E. 21St N
- 1727 W. Crawford St. (Salina)
While Sbarro hasn’t been in Wichita for nearly a decade, they have since grown with more than 600 locations in 24 countries. Best known for their Original XL New York Slices which are hand stretched and hand-made in every restaurant every day and topped with a San Marzano style tomatoes and basil sauce along with their hand shredded 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese.

It’s been years since I’ve last had a slice of Sbarro pizza, and will certainly be ready to check them out once they open. Stay tuned for our first look.
