BBQ is headed to the former Kiko’s space on Central

With Kiko’s closed at 2800 E. Central, we reported that a food truck was looking to take over the spot. The owner is now ready to make it known that SmokeHouse ICT, which has been operating as a mobile business, is moving on up to the world of brick & mortars.

The restaurant will take on the food truck’s name, SmokeHouse ICT. They are planning a soft launch for Wednesday, May 4 where they will initially be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Owner, Chris Morgan, said he plans to run those hours until the end of May. Eventually, he would like to open for dinner hours once he gets things settled.

During the soft launch, Morgan will focus on his BBQ staples that he has sold out of his food trailer. Over time, he’ll weave in additions to the menu with items like smoked spareribs, smoked chicken, and coleslaw.

After that, SmokeHouse ICT’s menu will blow up with Morgan’s full arsenal of eats: smoked Turkey, smoked salmon filets with rice pilaf, smoked salmon salad with avocado lime dressing, flan, smoked banana bread, bottled beer and wine.

Last thing to note is Law Enforcement, Military (active, retired, and dependents), Doctors, Nurses, and Teachers will get a 10% discount.
