Uno Mas owner, Abel Rodriguez, opening a new concept inside the former Headz & Tailz space

A couple of months back, the Khmer-Cajun style seafood restaurant, Headz & Tailz, closed at 301 N. Washington. It didn’t take long, but something new will be taking over. Abel Rodriguez, owner of Uno Mas, will be opening a new restaurant and tequila bar inside the former seafood spot.

While Rodriguez owns multiple Uno Mas stores and the food truck, he is doing something a bit different. Introducing Cabron y Vagos.

The new concept will be different from Uno Mas in that it will be a full service Mexican restaurant but will turn into a full bar after 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with live Mexican music. He is planning a Sunday brunch serving Mexican and American dishes with a twist.

On top of that, they are planning tequila and mezcal tastings paired with Mexican flare dishes.

Fans of the Uno Mas food truck will not be left out. Rodriguez intends to offer traditional street tacos from the food truck late nights on the weekends.

Right now, they are looking to open in 6-8 weeks, maybe sooner. Work is being done on the patio, which will feature custom garage doors. Indoor and outdoor dining will be available year round with a heated patio.
