It’s back! The drive-thru holiday light show, Safari of Lights, is open for business at Tanganyika Wildlife Park.
The Christmas lights show in Goddard runs every day until January 1. The drive-thru lights extravaganza is by reservation only, with slots starting at 6 p.m. all the way to 9 p.m. Note that they will not be open on Christmas, Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve to allow employees time with their families.
Safari of Lights features over 150,000 lights and is also a fundraiser that supports the animals of the park throughout the closed winter months. Upon arriving at the park, you scan your ticket at the gate, then turn off your headlights, tune your radio to 103.9 and enjoy.
PLEASE remember to turn off your headlights and for all that is holy, do not turn on your high beams.
I won’t try to give too much away in this blog or accompanying video, but there are two cool features to note. One is the longest RGB LED animated tunnel of colorful lights and the tallest animated Christmas tree in town.
Tickets are based on cars similar to the drive-in. Entry is $20 per car from Sunday to Thursday, and $25 on Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be purchased here.
