It’s coming this weekend! Kansas Sneaker Fest, the event formerly known as I Got Sole, has found itself a new home.
The premiere event in Wichita for sneakerheads is headed to Charles Koch Arena in the Aetna Multi-Purpose Center from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 25.
Kansas Sneaker Fest is a sneaker trade show in its 13th year that celebrates the love for sneakers, streetwear, vintage clothing and collectible accessories in a fun, festive format. Come experience the sneaker culture like never before.
The event, which started in 2011, was created by Nnanna Okpara, Owner & Director of Festive ICT, an event production company in Wichita that produces events such as Wichita Taco Fest, Shop & Grub, Margaritas &. Mojitos and more.
The event provides a unique marketplace for sneaker enthusiasts & resellers to buy, sell, and trade sneakers among each other while displaying cool sneaker collections. Street wear brands and local vendors showcase their merchandise, while vintage collectors display and sell their coveted, rare pieces.
Kansas Sneaker Fest also includes a local sock drive that has been active for close to a decade. Socks and undergarments are the most requested items from shelters across the country. Festive ICT uses this platform to assist and support local shelters via the sock drive. Attendees are asked to donate 2 pairs of new socks in exchange for a ticket that allows them to enter a raffle for a highly coveted pair of sneakers. All Socks collected are donated to a local shelter in the Wichita area. The sock drive is sponsored by local sneaker shop, All Things Hype.
This year, Kansas Sneaker Fest includes a new exciting addition, The Free throw contest. Attendees can sign up for $10 to get the opportunity to compete for the chance to win best free throw shooter at Kansas Sneaker Fest along with a list of prizes.
Admission to the event is as follows:
