Kirby’s Beer Store has a sister business that opened this summer called Kirby’s FlipSide. It’s a pinball arcade located next door to the bar at 17th and Hillside.
For years, pinball fans could stop by Kirby’s Beer Store, and the owners decided to expand on that by building a whole arcade dedicated to the world of pinball.

Keep in mind, the pictures you see in this blog were taken a couple of months ago, so there’s a chance, many games could be different on your visit.
Once you arrive at Kirby’s FlipSide, you’ll find nearly 20 pinball machines along with an MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) arcade loaded with what felt like hundreds of games.
How To Play Pinball at Kirby’s FlipSide
First off, Kirby’s FlipSide is for people 21 and over. You can also order drinks and food from Kirby’s.
As for playing the games, it’s all handled by purchasing a card from a kiosk.
When purchasing a card, you can get credits to play pinball where many machines are between 50 and 75 cents or you can play in timed increments. During my visit, there was an introductory $10 for 2 hours of freeplay special. I’m not sure if that price has gone up since.
Kirby’s FlipSide also hosts tournaments, such as a Halloween one that’s taking place over a 7-day span.
If you’re looking for more to do, grab a beer from Kirby’s Beer Store or check out some live music and then walk on over to Kirby’s FlipSide.
The pinball scene has grown quite a bit over the past ten years, so it’s cool to see a dedicated pinball hall of sorts in Wichita.
