Leaf Teahouse will expand to west Wichita later this year

Last June, Kookaburra Coffee closed their doors at 9414 W. Central. We reported last fall that another coffee shop planned to take the space over. At that point, they weren’t ready to go public with the news, but now they are.

Leaf Teahouse will open a second location in the former Kookaburra Coffee space. The owners have been working for months to prepare for opening day, which they hope to be ready in a few months.

With one location at 1912 E. Pawnee, Leaf Teahouse originally opened in 2011. The locally owned shop specializes in milk teas, fruit teas, refreshers, smoothies, and coffee.

I’ll be sure to pass on an official opening date when one is available. Until then, be sure to follow Leaf Teahouse on Facebook.
