In the many offerings of dollar tacos on Tuesday in Wichita, we stopped by Angela’s Cafe & Cantina. On top of the taco special, they all have a daily lunch buffet for $8.99 that runs from 11am to 2pm.

On Tuesdays, they offer all their tacos which are regularly priced $2.50 for $1. They only have three meats to choose from: barbacoa, al pastor and carne asada. To make matters more limited, they were out of barbacoa on my visit.
My food took an incredibly long time to arrive for an afternoon that wasn’t even that busy. When the food did come, everything tasted overcooked and/or burnt. The carne asada was very tough and the al pastor had an indescribable flavor that didn’t sit well with me. It was one of those rare times I didn’t even finish my tacos.
As mentioned earlier, they also have a limited selection $8.99 buffet that didn’t look to appetizing. Given my experiences with the tacos, I passed on giving it a try.
Perhaps ordering off of the menu and any day outside of Taco Tuesday could prove to be a much better experience. I don’t know.
