This is not really a review. Just a small little blurb on an event I was fortunate enough to attend.
Ty’s Diner has been closed during this whole COVID-19 craziness. The restaurant which has been around since the 50’s and located at 928 W 2nd Street has been missed by so many of their fans.
There was recently a private event where you could pick up burgers via carryout from Ty’s Diner. I jumped at the opportunity to go.
We ordered a double hamburger and a double cheeseburger and it brought me back to when times were normal. Every bite was amazing, juicy, filling, tasty, (insert every positive food word here).
The event was strictly donation based and I made sure to pay like 10 times the menu price as it was so worth it.
Seeing it made me think if it’d be worth it for some other restaurants to do one-day only events. I’d so be down for that.
