The gaming community in Wichita has had some tough hits lately. First, Grinning Goblin Gaming Tavern announced their closing. Then earlier today Sente: Games & Refreshments made an announcement on their Facebook page that they will be closing.
In their post, they noted that some small businesses have not be able to come out on the other side of the COVID-19 crisis. They were a relatively new locally owned small business that was located at 132 E Douglas.
It was a simple business that allowed people to come and hang out over a coffee or play hundreds of different board games at a relatively low cost. It was an affordable entertainment and one I’m sad to see go as an avid board gamer myself.
I wish them all the best of luck on a hopeful return one day.
