Sorrel’s Jamaican Food took over the former Hungry Heart location at 222 S. Commerce almost a year ago.
2020 has been a tough go for the Jamaican restaurant. With multiple hour changes and issues caused by the pandemic, Sorrel’s has closed temporarily. Owners said in a Facebook post, “Due to the lack of business caused by this pandemic we will be temporarily close.”
They were open over the weekend for one last bash and do not plan to return until Spring of 2021. That will now leave Wichita with one less genre of food available. If you missed out, the only you can do now is wait.
To stay up to date on when and if they return, be sure to follow their Facebook page.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
