Check out the United Way’s “Flags of Freedom” display

Something that might be worth checking out is the first-ever Flags of Freedom display at the Machinists Union by United Way of the Plains. You can find it on south Meridian right off I-235.

It’s a very cool display of American flags that covers an entire acre. Each flag was placed in honor of a veteran.

The 600 flags that are on display were purchased and dedicated to veterans by members of the community. As an added bonus, the donations went directly to help veterans.

With many of you having the day off, drive by, check it out, walk by the flags and read the names. It’s a very very very very cool display United Way did to honor our veterans.
