Let’s review Jimmy John’s!
Jimmy John’s is an American restaurant franchise specializing in sandwiches. Headquartered in Champaign, IL, the franchise was founded in 1983 by Jimmy John Liautaud. Over the past 38 years, they have expanded to over 2,700 locations with five of them here in Wichita, KS.
For this review, we ordered carryout from the 7325 W. Taft street location near Maple & Ridge which is home to a plethora of chain restaurants.
On our visit, we ordered:
- Club Lulu (TURKEY & BACON lettuce, tomato & mayo)
- Spicy East Coast Italian (DOUBLE GENOA SALAMI, DOUBLE CAPICOLA & DOUBLE CHEESE hot peppers, oil & vinegar, onion, lettuce, tomato, oregano-basil & easy mayo)
- Vito (SALAMI, CAPICOLA & PROVOLONE onion, lettuce, tomato, oil & vinegar, & oregano-basil)
- Pickle (quartered)
All the sandwiches were between $5.79 and $6.79 which were all very affordability and on the cheaper side when compared to some other national franchises.
One of the biggest pros about Jimmy John’s is their consistency. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve eaten at any of their locations but it seems to always be the same. My trips usually consist of either their Taft, Hillside or Rock Road locations and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience at any of them.
Oh and their pickles are awesome, nice and crunchy.
What you get is a good sandwich that’s convenient, affordable and appetizing. Their bread is soft, they are fairly generous on filling it up for what you pay and I’ve never had a mess up on any order. Of course I say that and it’ll probably happen next time!
I wouldn’t put Jimmy John’s at the very top of my sandwich list but it’s definitely up there near the top.
