Earlier this month, it was announced that the Brookville Hotel would return as a restaurant called The Legacy Kansas. Plans called for the restaurant to open on June 23. People were excited and had the date circled on their calendar. I even had planned to drive to Abilene, KS that day.
Now it looks like those plans are now off and there will be no restaurant coming. The announcement was made Tuesday morning citing the inability to finalize a contract.
Well, it looks like I’ll have to do a day of small-town dining elsewhere in June. Any suggestions?
