They currently operate as a food truck but later this year, the competition-style BBQ business Barrel Boys BBQ will be opening their own restaurant as the northwest corner of 13th & McLean in a strip center located near there.
Buddy King and his team have been making BBQ for many years and won many awards over that time. On top of their food truck, they’ve run a successful catering business.
I spoke with King recently and he said it’s time to ditch the truck and open a restaurant where people can sit down, eat some BBQ and have a beer.
The plan is to have the space ready by fall. He’s currently working on renovating the space and planning out the patio. It’s currently early in the process but I’ll be following along and keeping you up to date.
In the meantime, you can still purchase Barrel Boys BBQ from their food truck. Be sure to follow their Facebook page to see where they will be on the weekends.
