Your one-stop shop for boba, coffee, smoothies, tea, shaved ice and ice cream has arrived. Joy Tea officially opened at 11414 E. Central Ave. in the former east-side Churn & Burn space. They celebrated their grand opening on Monday, so I swung by quickly to check it out.

There isn’t too much seating available inside; probably a capacity for roughly 20-ish people.
We were in a fruit tea mood and went with the Pineapple Strawberry Green Tea and the Peach Black Tea. I love all things tea and really enjoyed the drinks, as did others in our group with what they had.
To be completely honest, though, I’m not confident that I could tell the difference in drinking a fruit tea from one place versus another. One day, I may have to get a Peach Black Tea from five different boba/tea shops around town and do a blind taste test.
Aside from all that, Joy Tea was busy as you could expect with it being their grand opening day. They did a fantastic job of pushing out as many drinks as they could and even sold out well before their closing time.
East-siders in that area of town should be happy to have a shop like this of their own. Check them out.
