Following The Truck Stop and the return of food trucks to the former ICT Pop-Up Urban Park, another new destination for food trucks and their fans is arriving soon. The Delano Food Truck Court is expected to open this month. It’s located at 220 S. Handley, which is a couple of blocks west of Riverfront Stadium.
The area may be familiar to some as it’s the Hope Christian Church lot.
This has been in the works for almost a year now and is now coming to fruition. The lot should have ample room for many food trucks. A nice benefit, the Delano Food Truck Court is hoping to entice food truck owners with is a kitchen space available in the church along with a building to store inventory, even cold storage.
The asking rate I’m told is $50 per day from trucks to park there, and my sources tell me one truck has already signed on.
I’ll try and get some more information soon, but if all goes to plan, this new Delano Food Truck Court could be open within a week or two.
