The 28th Annual Midwest Winefest returns for another year. It’s time to get your tickets for the event that runs from April 27-29.
The Walkabout on Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. will feature stops across Wichita’s Old Town District where attendees can sample food from local restaurants and a variety of wines. This year, they are bringing back the gated area in the Farm and Art Market. Last year, was our first time attending Midwest Winefest and we had such a great time. We ate lots of good food, drank plenty of wine, and loved the energy in the crowd.
On Saturday, April 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is the Reserve Room. This night features higher end wines and food at Distillery 244 witha live auction.
Both events are well worth it. We had so much fun last year, we decided to do it again this year.
Tickets for all events can be purchased at MidwestWinefest.org via Eventbrite. They did sell out last year and will likely do it again this year. Don’t wait.
The proceeds of Midwest Winefest benefit the Guadalupe Health Foundation, whose mission is to support the poor and uninsured patients of Guadalupe Clinic. It’s the only free full-time clinic in the state. The patients that come to the clinic are all uninsured (no private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid) and their income is within 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. While they mainly do primary care, they also have several specialists for their patients to see. There is one paid Physician Assistant at each clinic, and the rest of the doctors and specialists volunteer their time – as little as 4 hours a month – to see patients. All of their services and specialties can be found on their website: https://www.guadalupeclinic.org
