Earlier this week, the Walt’s All American Bar & Grill at 5534 W. Central closed for good.
No official reason was given for the closure, but the bar that and closed and reopened under new ownership in the summer of 2022 will not be revived in any sort of way this time.
That now leaves just one Walt’s location in town, which is separately owned and operated at the corner of Rock and Central at 7732 E. Central.
As recent as a few years ago, there were four different iterations of Walt’s that were open around town with different owners. Now, it’s just one, and arguably the best of the bunch, with Walt’s East.
