■ Symphony in the Gardens | May 19
Where: Botanica
Botanica and the Wichita Symphony present Symphony in the Gardens: a magical evening of food, drink, and music, surrounded by the beauty of Botanica. Symphony in the Gardens is a feast for the senses: hear the Wichita Symphony, see the lush gardens of Botanica, and taste heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks throughout the evening. Stroll through Botanica’s beautiful gardens as you enjoy live music provided by musicians of the Wichita Symphony stationed throughout for this progressive-style concert. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks at each garden as you take in the sights, sounds, and smells surrounding you. The evening culminates on the Brown Family Grand Lawn & Stage as the Wichita Symphony takes the stage for a finale concert and fireworks show above the Koch Carousel Gardens.

Shop & Grub is a monthly outdoor market featuring various vendors selling vintage clothing, art, jewelry, accessories, home goods, wine, delicious food, and more. Free Admission for All Ages.

1 Million Cups is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Every Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m., one or two early-stage startups present their companies to a diverse audience of their peers, mentors, educators, and advisors.

■ The Golden Apple | May 19-20
Where: DeMattias Fine Arts Center
“The Golden Apple” is an innovative interdisciplinary contemporary dance production that seamlessly weaves spoken word, film design, original music, and dance together. Drawing inspiration from the Macedonian folk tale “The Boy Who Hid in the Golden Apple,” this anti-fairytale explores themes of power and stewardship in a modern context. Artistic Director and Choreographer Regina Klenjoski crafts an imaginative evening-length work that uses contemporary dance as an abstract language to question the impact of economic and social systems on our planet’s conservation.
■ Amber Waves Tasting Tour | May 19
Where: Historic Delano District
Unique shops in the Historic Delano District open just for Amber Waves participants. At each location, shop, sample craft beer from LDF, taste seltzers, wines or cocktails, and enjoy delicious food from various local restaurants at each location. Live music at the beer garden.
■ Cowtown Stampede 2023 | May 20
