Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 19, Walton’s will be hosting the 2nd Annual BratFest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their storefront located at 3639 N. Comotara. The family-friendly event will get you mouthwatering samples of Walton’s top-selling bratwurst flavors, but it’s also a fundraiser for the Air Capital Flyers Special Olympics Kansas Program.
100% of the $15 ticket price, which can be purchased here, will go directly to the Special Olympics program right here in Kansas.
Along with the Walton’s bratwurst samples, processors from in and around the state will be bringing flavors of their own. If that’s not enough, there will be a bratwurst/hot dog lunch included with your ticket cost with 4 delicious flavors to choose from. The meat sweats will definitely be a thing on August 19.
Other activities and vendors will be on hand, including Shaken or Stirred bar for those craving an icy cold beverage to pair with their brats. Raffles will be provided by local conservation groups BHA, Pass it on Outdoor Mentors, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and NWTF.
If you got a good arm, be sure to visit the Dunk Tank provided by Augusta Rental to try to dunk your favorite (or least favorite) Walton’s employees and ACF coaches!
If you bring your family, kids will be plenty busy checking out games, cool vehicles, and testing their archery and shooting skills at the Diamond Archery target range and the NWTF Daisy BB gun range.
I’m 100% going to be there and loading up on as many samples as possible.
