After 8 months, Electric Pizzeria will reopen in the Douglas Design District

After closing eight months ago, Electric Pizzeria will be opening in a new location.

The restaurant will take over the Mad Boba space at 1500 E. Douglas, which quietly closed down this summer. It looks as though that was the plan, as Mad Boba was owned by the same people as Electric Pizzeria.

This will be the pizza restaurant’s fourth location in five years.

Electric Pizzeria originally started in Derby back in 2018 and then opened their first Wichita location at 240 S. West Street in 2019. A fire forced the Derby store to close in 2019. Then a second Wichita location opened in 2021 at what is now Chick N Max; that location made it only three months. Then the original Wichita location on West Street abruptly closed at the end of 2022.

During the last few years, the owners also had a small run with a Cajun spin-off named T’Geaux Cajun and the recent Mad Boba which Electric Pizzeria will be taking over.

Wednesday, August 30 is the grand opening day for the new pizzeria’s location on 1500 E. Douglas.
